Donated by Donna Dunnuck.

Catharine Dunnuck was born in Baltimore Co. Maryland, March 30, 1812; departed this life December 16, 1894; age 82 years, 8 months and 17 days. In the year 1818 she moved with her parents to the state of Ohio, where she lived until 1837, when she came with her uncle Joshua Dunnuck, to Kosciusko county, Indiana. Two years later she returned to Ohio where she was married to Wm. A. Timmons in 1841. In 1846, they moved to this county where they have since made their home. Her husband died Nov. 29, 1885, at the advanced age of 82 years, 8 months and 14 days; making a difference in their ages at time of death of only three days. Since the death of her husband she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. T.B. Saber. She possessed that indomitable will, accompanied with remarkable constitutional vigor and endurance which enabled the pioneers of this country to bear the trials and difficulties incident to the accomplishment of any enterprise. She bore her last illness, which was of fifty days duration, very patiently and often expressed a desire to be taken painlessly from this world of suffering. Thus it was permitted to be, for, without a struggle, or apparently a monent's consciousness, she passed from the sleep of nature to the sleep of death. She leaves one sister, two daughters, eight grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and may other relatives and friends to mourn her departure. Words of comfort were spoken by Elder B. F. Bear, after which she was laid to rest in the Pleasant View cemetery.

In 1894 she is said to have had two surviving daughters . One would be Martha. I wonder who the other one is. I have a daughter Sarah as being born in 1846 but dying in 1851. And Daughter Jeanette (1852-1853). The 1850 & 1860 censuses do not list another daughter and her age is quite a mystery. Her step-son William J.B. (Jr??) preceeded her in death as did her husband William A.
